Evri has lost all six of the parcels I sent on the 23 Aug and they're on their list of non-compensatable items

I have a big problem with Evri, who collected six parcels to various customers from me on the 22nd Aug and they arrived at the Evri depot on the 23rd.  Since then the tracking has stopped.  Half a dozen phone calls and various untrue claims that the items would be delivered in the next 24/48 hours have left me with their final investigation saying the items could not be located and they have sent me a compensation form.  The snag is the items are ceramic figurines and rhey say they won't compensate even for loss.

 

But how can they lose SIX parcels???  I'm not sure they have even made any serious effort to find these.  I'm shocked that I have lost the items, will have to reimburse my customers and am not going to get any compensation from Evri.

 

Any help or advice would be very much appreciated.  I must add in fairness, that I did not disclose the contents when I sent the items, but they were exceptionally well packed and I do not believe this has any bearing on what has happened to them.

did you declare the full value of each parcel too them?

Yes, I put the value on the packages.   It just doesn't make sense how six can vanish.   So you reckon I should try to get compo using the forms?

They wont cough.

Just some token payment because the items will be on their not allowed list .

 

Go read a good few 10's of evri threads already here, complain , letter of claim, court claim.

I am beginning to realise that I am going to have to work to get compensation but I am willing to do that.  Until I found this forum the other day I thought I had no chance.    I had just started selling ceramics online and my first batch of six parcels have all vanished.

 

Will write a formal letter of complaint to detail the items lost and their value (as stated correctly when sent) and I can back this up with Ebay transactions.  I have read what you said about terms of contract being unfair and I believe the loss of six parcels (irrespective of the contents) without compensating is unfair.

Just before I send off a letter to Evri, it is a requirement for me to go through their online claim forms first, which in any case state the items are on their list of non-compensation items.

 

Or should I just go straight to formal the letter.
