I have just received a letter too from Cabot financial saying that they are taking over my debt from Halifax. It also contained a copy of a letter from Halifax. (Is this real?)

I pay Halifax by standing order as well...

Am not quite sure what to do?

Shall I just continue to pay Halifax, as it does state in their letter that all funds/payments will be forwarded to Cabot!!!

Thanks for you help in advance.

So sorry but I have a complete fear of these debt collection companies....

Have a read of the much feared BCOBS ignore any DCA, letters and phonecalls, this is the responsibility of the bank.

Deal directly with the bank, if you are paying any more than the legal token payment of £1, then reduce it to this figure until the bank starts acting responsibly.

Who ever heard of someone getting a job at the Jobcentre? The unemployed are sent there as penance for their sins, not to help them find work!
