Police women wearing the Burka ?.

It has been suggested that police women in the west midlands police force may be allowed to wear the Burka. Am I the only one that thinks that the person who thought of this has something seriously wrong with them..

IMHO, it is wrong and should not be allowed.

How can you chase any criminal suspect wearing a Burka, unless the criminal stops running because they can't stop laughing ?

 

On the otherhand, if they were planning to visit a Mosque or a home of a devout Muslim then it might be ok for a Muslim Police Officer to wear a Burka if it is their choice to do so.

The Home Office will never allow it, simply on Health and safety grounds even if it was implemented.

 

And lets us not forget, it has ony been suggested that police women in the west midlands police force MAY be allowed to wear the Burka.

 

And people start salivating over it as though it was police policy

Perhaps there will be a time when a burka wearing police office will be chasing a burka wearing suspect.

I fail to see the point of even considering the idea, especially as you have already pointed out, it is unlikely it will be allowed on H&S grounds.
