6 years from the default date. Paying them off may be no good.

If you paid and it changed to satisfied, it will still go off from 6 years of account closure... IE; Defaulted or Settled / Satisfied.

Who are the defaults too?

We could do with some help from you.

What? £11? I once was defaulted for £6 from O2! thats disgraceful.

Send an email complaint to;

ronan.dunne@o2.com

They will probably remove it if you pressure them enough. Lowell also have one for £66?

paid or not defaults are there for 6yrs from birth

paying does not improve your rating.

on defaults 6th birthday - the whole account vanishes

does not mean the debt is not still owed mind.

I'd get that CEO email sent off.

PS there is NO LINK between default date and SB date.

Once you've done the CEO email for O2, and had a response, let me know, then we can go on for Lowell... Knowing them, and what they do, I suspect you could get the account removed... But concentrate on O2 first.

FYI you may get a response from Capita as they outsource their complaints stuff to them.

  • 2 weeks later...

Thank you all for your help and suggestions

O2 have recalled the Lowell one and have agreed to remove the defaults and have reversed the debts so I now owe nothing :)

It wasn't simple,

it took loads of emails and researching various laws and finding out from them that the amount I owed was about 20p less than the defaults showed

so they agreed to remove the defaults.

I know it won't show properly on my credit record for a while but it will help a lot once it does show as they were the only problems on my record.

I checked the my credit account today and as promised O2 removed the default which I am greateful for

However

Lowell is still showing, and this is despite O2 recalling the account and agreeing to remove the default

Any ideas what I should do next?

I disagree...

Go to Lowell and raise a complaint... Take the letter / response from O2 and attach it here.
