Picked up on a thread on PP's blog regarding Barry Beavis... http://parking-prankster.blogspot.co.uk/2015/05/barry-beavis-chooses-john-de-waal-qc.html

Anyone else spot the deliberate mistake?

If they repeat the same mistake, is it "mistake" or "mistakes"?!

"It's a licence charge / genuine pre-estimate of loss / charge for trespass ...... In no way is it an unenforceable penalty"

"Well, it kind of says it's a penalty, Ya know, in the bit where it says in large font '£70 penalty'!

It gets repeated further down as "penalty information"

But this is the problem with the wording of the learned gentlemen's findings at the appeal. They have turned consumer contract law on its head and now the sign IS correct.

So they're specifically 'penalties' now? That should make life interesting cool.png

And of course it doesn't give anyone the opportunity to a reduced amount if paid quickly, not that it should be paid at all of course.

Does that sign mean that BB holders can only park in disabled bays and nowhere else?

Supermarket signage state parent and child \ toddler only in marked bays I did write to one about the issue but they chose to ignore me

But if those bays are full can't park elsewhere either

If i have helped in any way hit my star.

any advice given is based on experience and learnt from this site :-)
