overdraft increase letter . error

I have read on another forum that some Halifax customers have / will recieve letters that their overdraft has been increased .The poster on that site said that he phoned them and was told that the letters went out by mistake and that Halfax will be immediatley reclaiming this money back.I am unsure how true any of this is but think people should exercise caution if they recieve this letter.

Hmm... funny that. I actually asked the Halifax if they would mind increasing my overdraft by about £100 until I could get myself straight - so as not to be paying any more charges - and they said NO.

overdrafts have been increased on a lot of current accounts automatically.

 

of course it is selected customers, and not nessessarily the ones who need it the most.
