Hi Caggers

I have been with Bright House for a while now, and I must say as much as i find their prices extortionate,

I repeatedly keep getting harassed by text messages or phone calls on the day I am ment to pay.

I have told them over and over again That I am aware that it is my day to pay and i will be down to pay my bill

but i keep getting calls and texts (texts at least 3 or 4 every saturday).

Now i have them verbally on the phone, instore and even written them a letter stating if I dont stop getting these 'REMINDERS'

I will go to the OFT.

They havnt been stopping so what or how do i go about contacting the OFT

you have two insurances you are paying for:

Optional Service Cover

Damage Liability Cover

you can reclaim them

as for the harassment, send them the harassment letter from the green top left library tab.

Good Afternoon Sash Knighton

Optional Service Cover (OSC) was available to customers who took out an agreement prior to 2nd September 2013. OSC gives customer’s the added benefit of a full service package together with peace of mind.

Some of the benefits of OSC include:

· It is optional and can be cancelled with 7 days notice

· Covers cost of product repairs

· Response within 72 hours

· Repair or loan replacement given (where applicable)

· You can return your product for whatever reason, whenever you want, without penalty, with nothing more to pay. Goods must be undamaged and in good working order and repair.

· If you return your product you can benefit from a restart voucher. (You can even restart your agreement up to 12 months later, and the payments you have made will still count against a product of similar age and specification).

Please note that if you took out your agreement after 2nd September 2013 we now include a similar range of benefits as a standard part of our service and it is already included in your weekly price.

We are able to stop any ‘Best Day to Pay’ reminder texts that you seem to be receiving, including any other marketing calls / texts / correspondence. In order for us to do this, we just need to confirm the telephone number/s that you are receiving the calls to.

If you would like to discuss your account and any concerns you may have, please can you email us at customer.relations@brighthouse.co.uk with your account details (name, address, store the account is with) and with any relevant information that would enable us to handle your enquiry as effectively as possible.

Alternatively, you may also speak directly to a Customer Relations Representative on 0800 526 069 who will be happy to help you.

Please update this thread with any feedback once we have spoken to you.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and we look forward to hearing from you.

Many Thanks

Jason

OSC and DLC are totally unnecessary as the sale of goods act covers you FOR FREE..

as for hiding them in the 'new agreements'

so WHERE does the FREE COVER under SOGA sit with this?

the customer DOES NOT NEED COMPULSORY repair insurance or compulsory theft insurance......

Thanks DX And just a update for everyone,

i phoned bright house web relations team and the lady was more than helpful and

said that if i go in store and ask for my agreement then they will print it off there and then,

And she also stated that brighthouse like to sort things out before going to small claims court especially if i have been miss sold OSC.

She then said that because of this she is going to raise a complaint on my behalf.

I will keep you all updated what happens

there is no legal requirement on HP agreements for the goods to be insured

it is solely a condition within BH's T&C.

and as we know with PPI & Credit/Loan PENALTY charges

being contained within their T&C's does not make it unchallengeable

ask them specifically where the HP agreements act states the goods MUST be insured against loss or theft....

we cant find it...

did you read that link I sent...

You've just made things perfectly clear for me on my claim, I have several past accounts with BH ... I shall be challenging this point - asking for where it requires in Law that it must be insured.

Hi silver fox, I have just had a call from their area manager and has made me an offer of £200, i might be a bit silly but i have accepted it on the grounds that I'm making a little video that will be on youtube soon to show people and let them know that it is possible to do this. When it is done i will send you the link to it.

Thanks you for all your help
