Hello, here's the story.

 

For some reason, I have not received PCN, may be was lost in the mail, but received Enforcement Notice.

 

I prepared representation, and come to a point when I need to send it.

 

I realized that the letter does not contain the necessary addresses.

 

There is a whole page with explanations on how to pay,

but there is no address indicated where to send representation!

 

I find their website and precisely:

Make a challenge against a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN), and there I came across another crap.

 

In the box where I need to fill my PCN Reference is written: "PCN Reference (including CG prefix)".

 

Very well, except that my reference number begins with BZ!

 

I decided to try it, and actually the system accepted this number and showed me the necessary information.

 

I uploaded pictures and wrote the information needed,

 

I click the "Submit" button and guess what? "

An error occurred,

please try again later"!

And so a few days in a row!!!

 

They are very good at taking our money for nothing,

because there is no sign that this is a bus lane,

but when it comes to challenge against a PCN,

their letter does not have the necessary information,

their website is misleading and even is impossible to do representation online!

 

Whether it is by accident or on purpose,

I do not want to speculate,

but it is strange and suspicious.

Hi, sorry for that, but I'm a little confused with this +500Mb.

Because their website says: "File attachments can only be up to 95.37 megabytes.", I specifically checked the size of the pictures, the size is 15.0 MB (15,757,055 bytes), so unlikely that's the problem.

But even if that was the problem, the error message is as follows, quote:"Sorry, an error has occurred. Please try later."

So, you actually kept ignorant of why this error occurs.

As for the images uploaded from me here, as I said above I'm a little confused, because their size is 7.24 MB (7,598,307 bytes).

But anyway, thank you that you fix the problem.

you don't need to upload them 15mb of pixs!

that will prob crash the upload server

150kb ones will do!

 

as you say though it might not be the problem

15mb is still a huge file!!

Dear dx100uk, I understand your point of view and I guess that way you are trying to help me, but you obviously do not understand my point of view. You're familiar with all these Mb, Kb and so on, because you have experience with this.

I guarantee you, that at least 50-60% of people are not familiar with this and I am sure that most of them do not even know how to check the size, much less, to resize the pictures.

But as I said above, their website says: "File attachments can only be up to 95.37 megabytes.", the size of my photos is more than 6 times less than their allowable size.

What I mean is the following:

1. At the beginning of this bus lane there is no sign, but they take pictures and send fines.

2. There is no addresses specified In their Enforcement Notice of where to send representation.

3. Their website is misleading, stating: "PCN Reference (including CG prefix)", provided that my PCN Reference have no CG prefix.

4. When attempting to do online representation, their website gives error, without to inform why this error is obtained, 5 days in a row.

 

I'll find their address and I will send my representation by post. I write here just to share my disappointment and see what others think about this circus!

I would suggest that you send the representation to the same address you are requested to send the payment to as that's probably who deals with it anyway!

Unless they have changed it all parking enforcement is dealt with at barking town hall
