Okay guys, this may interest those of you given the "we take the charges off first thing" excuse:

Mini Statement on 10/04/06 at 12:14:46:

06 APR POS 7.61-

06 APR POS 10.80-

07 APR POS 14.69-

07 APR ATM 10.00-

07 APR D/D 73.42-

10 APR 13.31-

Mini Statement on 11/04/06 at 12:24:46:

06 APR POS 7.61-

06 APR POS 10.80-

07 APR POS 14.69-

07 APR ATM 10.00-

07 APR D/D 73.42-

10 APR CHG 35.00-

10 APR 13.31-

So, a charge that's instantaneous doesn't actually show up until the day after, despite the transaction that incurred it appearing on that day? I checked on a transaction list I got from the reception desk inside the bank, which lists the £35 as:

CARD MISUSE

CHQ 13.31

Which really rather violates the whole 14-day notice of charges thing, doesn't it? Any thoughts?

My thoughts? Typical bank activity, I get this ALL the time with Natwest, things not showing up then 4 days later showing up as coming out/going in 3 days ago (and not just delay over weekend) its rubbish , it really is!

Do you think I should just go into the branch and ask for that (and the >£150 they took instantaneously on the 25th/26th) back today, or just wait and add it to the claim? I was supposed to be giving my mother back £200 that she lent me tomorrow, but I can't now, thanks to their stupid charges.
