Hi,

I have a DMP in place to pay of my stupidly borrowed payday loans, due to health issues i missed a payment, i arranged for my partner to take over my account so it doesnt happen again and i offered to increase my payments with Stepchange to make up for the missed payments. I wrote to all the creditors and the only one i had issue with was wonga, this was their reply:

Hi

Thanks for your recent letter describing your circumstances.

For us to fully understand how your circumstances may affect your financial situation, please ask your health or social professional to complete the attached form. This will help us take the relevant mental health problems into account when making our decision. We’ve sent you this form because you indicated your mental health problems affect your ability to repay.

For 38 days starting today we’ll stop trying to collect any money related to the loan and we’ll freeze interest. This 38 day period should give enough time for the attached paperwork to be completed and sent back to us.

We look forward to hearing from you soon. Thanks again for telling us about your situation.

Best wishes,

Its confidential info so they are not allowed it. The only thing they need is a very simple summary signed by your doc. I would also ask step change for their advice too.

Any advice i give is my own and is based solely on personal experience. If in any doubt about a situation , please contact a certified legal representative or debt counsellor..

If my advice helps you, click the star icon at the bottom of my post and feel free to say thanks

:D
