Hi

Need a little advice.................

My mother in law had a catalogue with simply be, she basically hasn't paid up her balance for a while which obviously she should have.

She is now getting letters from Cabolt and Fire collections.

Any advice i.e. should she offer them a weekly fee or go directly back to Simply Be.

She's a bit worried about a visit from them and taking her car etc.

Many thanks!

most cat debts are litterd with £12 PENALTY charges

tell the history of the debt please

is it on her CRA file?

don't worry about the DCA [fire are cabot]

they are NOT BAILIFFS

and have NO LEGAL POWERS.

stay off the phone too!

WRITING ONLY.

is this on her cra file?

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Hi

I am not 100% sure but I think it will be on her file. She has not been the best at paying debts and has got a few other things that I think have been settled.

Would it be better if she sent a letter and made an offer of say £5/week? She is now a pensioner so does not have a massive income.

I assume she has had this account for several years. If its an old one send off a cca.

I am sick to death of the way these companies treat vulnerable people. People who at one time would have been proud of their perfect repayment history and then for whatever reason fail to make a few payments.

You may think it's morally wrong not to repay,I think it is these companies who are morally bankrupt and it hurts me like hell.
