My husband took out a contract with Orange last year for two mobiles. One for himself and one for my daughter. After checking my credit report I saw the following:

 

Company: Everything Everywhere ta Orange

 

Account stated: 03/10/2012

 

Account updated: 10/03/2013

 

It then states that there is a late payment of £200.

 

My credit rating has dropped from 750 down to 597.

 

The thing is I don't have an account with Orange. I'm furious and really upset as I've been battling for two years to try and get as high a credit rating as possible.

 

Is there anything I can do about this?

Same here, I called Orange to which they confirmed the account had never been used and the amount late fees. And so far they have not amended my credit report total pain, will have to write a letter but don't know where to send letter.

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

I spoke to someone at Orange this morning. I asked, first of all, if any payments had been late this year. Initially I was told no. I then asked whose name this account is in. I was told mine. I asked for copies of the 'agreement' etc etc to be sent to me. He then went on to say that there was a late payment in January of £22 due to the payment date being changed? I queried the £200 and to be honest with you couldn't make any sense at all of what he was saying - hence why I asked for everything to be sent to me.

 

I have not signed any paperwork/agreement with Orange. My husband took out a contract with Orange - one for himself and one for my daughter. The charges of £200 occurred when my daughter was in South Africa on a trip - but she never used the phone when she was there - she may have used it for the alarm clock but that was it.

 

Is there anyone else I should contact? Im seriously concerned about my credit rating - especially as we're dependent on it for getting a house rental.
