Banned from Morissons - Need Advice

Hi

I embarrassed myself a little yesterday and got into a rather bad argument with the manager of my local Morissons, and the security guard had to step in, all over the cost of an item.

I got presented with 2 options;

1) Call the police

2) accept to be banned from the store and leave

 

I decided just to go with ban, as I've never been involved with the police and didn't really want anything on my record, especially something so trivial.

 

Know I've read the document the security guard gave me, to say I've been banned, it states I've been banned from all Morissons stores??????

 

Are they able to police this or if I went into a store in a different town would I be Ok?

If you were in the right about the price of the item and the manager wrong then I would suggest contacting Head Office and telling them that you have changed your mind about accepting the ban and wish an investigation to take place and that you expact the police to be involved as criminality is alleged. Tell them about the ban and ask them recind it or face possible legal action.

If you were wrong then keep out of your local Morrisons for a while.

Shop somewhere else for a while, until its forgotton about

Morrisons will just ban you from one store. Not all. They have no way of knowing who is coming and going unless theyve seen you before.

I can't imagine there is watchlist of banned people that security have to look out for as if looking out for shoplifters and other criminals isn't enough work for them! I do agree with ericsbrother and I would contact HO and explain the situation.
