I have had anxiety problems since I was a child of 11 and suffered depression as well since I was 13 ive had a drink problem and ive never held down a full time job for more than 3 months because of my alcohol use ive been sacked more times than I can remember, I have social anxiety so working or mixing with others is a no go for me unless im drunk I dont socialise with anyone, im now 30 have less than a year experiance in any work and a criminal record to boot, atos very kindly lied on my medical and say im fit for work, where can I find a job that I would not have to talk or interact with anyone and be taken on with all the issues I have?

No interest in fixing the issues at all? Because you don't have to rely on alcohol.

I woudn't worry too much, you have to apply for jobs to keep recieving benefits but there are easy ways not to get one... what have they said the next steps are?

Ive managed to cut the alcohol, but it come at to cost of not being around people as thats when the anxiety really kicks in follwed by ruminations and the only things that really took all that away was booze and diazepam, but the dr said he wont give me anymore diazepam! Ive been seeing councelors for my problems and made some progress but its fragile I had the worst christmas ever just because a lady at the gym I was going to that allowed me to ge there by myself and shut myself in wanted to do a story on me because id lost quite a bit of weight i was 27 and a half stone in september im 20 stone now, I stopped going and didt leave the house for 2 weeks, the thing is I really dont want to end up back on booze as my liver has been damaged but not to the point it wont heal, if im forced to mix with people its inevitable that I will drink, im at my wits end.

So what does the DWP say you have to do next? No point worrying before you know. You can also appeal the decision.

well done on the weight loss by the way.

and also, nothing is inevitable. Nothing. Can you talk to your counsllor about this? You seem to be catastrophising,

Ive put in appeal on paper and its coming up soon, I expect I will lose because i only really had one letter of support from the mental health worker thats been helping me, and my medical records from the mental health hospital to submit as evidence, but i have never really talked about my issues to psychiatrists there because all the wanted to do was load me up on drugs and I did a good job of that by myself , I really dont know what they want from me, it feels like they are doing this to me so I will kill myself and they wont have to give me anything

ok - I am sorry you feel like this, but if you are feeling like you may want to commit suicide, you really need to be at A&E, or talking to the samaritans (you can also do that via email.)

I am afraid I am really not qualified in mental health areas and I do hope you can speak to your GP again soon.

It nay also be worth speaking to a benefits advisor at CAB. or contacting your local branch of MIND to see if they can advise.

Hello, I am just wondering how often you see your counsellor/mental health worker, and if you can contact them in between appointments. I had therapy for 12 months for bipolar disorder, and was able to ring either my counsellor or the out of hours crisis number, do you have a crisis card?

I know how hard it is to talk about things at times, believe me I have been there, but sometimes we have to or it can limit the help people can give us.

I always found it easier to write things down than talk, and I used to do this and give it to my counsellor, at least that way they knew how I was feeling, and were better placed to help.

GP visit asap, and or contact your counsellor, if you can do that and even just write down how you are feeling and the problems you are facing, and give them both a copy if you can. I was able to get a letter from my GP and support from CMHT, and my situation did get sorted with regard to benefits etc after Atos found me fit.

There really is always a way through it, please, try and do as I have suggested and I hope you can find some strength to do this. I never look at things as a battle, as I never feel I have that kind of strength, but I do tell myself that I WILL GET THROUGH THIS IN THE BEST WAY I CAN, even saying it out loud to myself in private.

Sorry if I have rambled....I just feel for you, as one who has met with atos and their bullying and lies.
