My Ex Landlord is chasing me for rent i owe,yes i do owe it,but he is asking for more than i can sensibly afford,he has mentioned county court and i said if thats what he wanted to do to feel free,as yet he has not done this,we are having to pay top up on our housing benefit on where we are now as well as some council tax,he has asked for £100 a week to pay off the arrears, which on my wage is ridiculous, before we left his property he said to me make sure your family dont get hurt its slippery out here,he has been to my place of work, which he says is not harrasment as he knows my employer,he has been to our new address with a friend,i agreed £25 a week but this is getting more and more difficult,he has stated that he will have his money one way or another and will never forget him, which seems like a threat, but never says anything in front of a witness, any advive would be greatfully received

make him an offer you can afford, and stick to it, formalise it in writing if you wish and get receipts for any payments you make and the total to pay.

If it went to court, that is most probly what a judge will decide anyway, if you have ne assets.

with regads any threats or harrasement record these on a mobile phone and write them down ( dates and time etc.) and report to the police.
