Hi

Does anyone know who these guys predominantly collect for?

My husband just had a call on his mobile phone from these very aggressive guys

who were trying to get hold of me using my maiden name (been married 4 years).

Not aware of any issues with forgotten debt or where/how they would have obtained that number(ie my husbands)

for me so looking for any ideas on who they could possibly be collecting for to see if any bells are rung.

I refused to speak to them and my husband told them to put anything in writing - my address has not changed in 6 years.

This is them.. They are Debt Collectors and Tracing agents.

I suggest you be wary of cards claiming to have a parcel for collection where you need to telephone a number to arrange collectionl. Which is a favourite tactic of companies such as these.

If anyone telephones asking you to confirm details - you should simply suggest that they should put whatever they want to say in writing to you.

It is interesting that they have obtained your Husband's mobile number, yet are asking for you by your maiden name ??

You might get some idea of what they want by looking at your credit files - see if something jogs your memory.

If not - then it is very likely they have the wrong person.

Hi, It could be any one of a dozen or more companies,

Your husband has it right ignore phone calls and if you

get caught on the phone just state in writting only.

Never answer ''security'' questions.

If letters arrive that do not state exactly what they are

chasing ignore them.

Mean while check your credit reference agency files Equifax, Experian(credit expert)

have free trial periods) Call Credit (Noddle if totally free).

If you have been at the same address for 6 years the chances are that this is a

very old debt, any ideas as to what it could be?

Any Letters I Draft are N0T approved by CAG and no personal liability is accepted.
