Ok i was in my local Nisa shop the other day and noticed they where selling Coca Cola for £2.09 even thought on the bottle there was a yellow strip around it say £1.99 so i just thought they where still selling them at that price like it said on the bottle. Anyway my wife went to go buy some today and they charged £2.09!!! and they had cut off the £1.99 yellow label!!!!! i have taken photos of the bottle of coke and you can still see parts of the yellow label :-x so they are making a 10p profit on this, is this allowed?

A complaint is your best way forward on the basis that you know that the goods were pricemarked. It isn't actually unlawful to remove a pricemark and sell at a higher price, but it is very poor practice.

Any advice given is done so on the assumption that recipients will also take professional advice where appropriate.

Bad practice, completely legal - Invitation to treat at the end of the day. The only thing they need to watch out for is to ensure they are not misleading consumers which it seems they have started to do by removing the yellow strip.

RRP flashed products are very rarely sold at the full price anyway, they are a sales gimmick.

In many cases these are made for promotions.

In fact this is why you will often see these in £1 shops...where they have been sold as whats known as grey stock after promotions end-typically in the big supermarkets.
