Just been looking for a part for the daughters car and this company kept showing up as the cheapest.

After a quick search on t'interwebnet I have found a few horror stories about extortionate charges for phone calls - spam emails and texts - wrong parts sent out etc.

Just wondered if anyone could recommend a reliable on line auto parts dealer or let me know if 247 are in fact ok to go ahead and use.

The quotes for the part I'm after are really cheap.

Until recently they were my first port of call if i needed a spare part, however after being ripped off on two separate occasions i will never use them again. If you have a problem with a seller (don't forget 247 Spares are just the intermediary) 247Spares do not want to get involved. Case in Point. I had a 2005 VW Golf GTi 1.8 Turbo and the auto dimming rear view mirror stopped working and after some self diagnoses and the power of the internet i concluded it was the mirror that was at fault and it needed to be replaced. I used 247spare to get a price for the part i needed and made it perfectly clear EXACTLY what i wanted and included a part number for the part in question and got a few quotes back and went with the most competitive. I phone the company and explained EXACTLY what i wanted and they assured me that had what i wanted so i placed the order via the internet.

After waiting three weeks for the mirror to arrive it was blatantly obvious it was the wrong one as it was stamped ford. I complained to the garage and was told to f"ck off and get a life!

247Spares told me they would investigate but after 2 weeks of chasing them they didn't get back to me.

What i am trying to say is. By all means use they if you are unable to find the part on ebay, local breakers yard or if the part is too expensive from a dealer/OEM reseller like German Swedish and French but don't expect 247Spares to assist if you have a complaint.

I would advise not using 247spares. I have had a bad experience with one of their suppliers. I purchased a Heater Blower Motor for my Saab 93. I gave them all of my car information including information related to type of motor I required, (i.e.) one which had climate control. When the part arrived I found that they had supplied the wrong type. When I called them and told them of the problem they refused to accept the part back and give me a refund. I have emailed 247spares detailing my complaint, but as yet have had no response. For you information, the Supplier name is “Volvo Saab Breakers" based in Nottingham. You have been warned, DO NOT USE THEM !!!

If it's been less than 7 working days after the day you received it, send them an email saying you are cancelling the order and returning the item under the Distance Selling Regulations. They must accept it and must return your money in a maximum of 30 days. And if they don't say in their terms and conditions to the contrary, they must also refund the return postage as well.
