I need some information please,

I have a default on my credit report from a dca called lowell portfolio who i called

and have since passed the debt on to another dca called scotcall although lowell portfolio is still on my credit file.

The original creditor was shop direct.

The default date on my credit file is 30/10/08 but when i phoned scotcall they told me the last payment was 30/07/05.

Should the default date not be at the most 6 months after the last payment date? If so that would be over 6 years since the default date and so it should be removed from my credit report?

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Thanks dx I`ll not call them again.

I had a catalouge with littlewoods that started early 2005.

I had insurance incase of injury, made redundant etc.

I was up to date with payments until I broke my collarbone and couldnt make my payments.

I was told that I had to pay my next payment as my insurance did not cover the 1st 6 weeks.

I was unable to make a payment.

I then never recieved a bill for the next 2-3 years until I recieved 1 demanding the whole amount.

I explained I could not afford this and never heard anything again until I checked my credit report

and I had a default from lowell portfolio for the sum of £479.

I think the orginal ammount was roughly £250.

I was told today by scotcall that my last payment was on the 30/07/05 but it says on my credit report 30/10/08. This is surely illegal?

Can I have the default removed since its been over 6 years since the original date of default?

How would I go about gettin this removed?
