Hi Guys,

Just a quick one. My girlfriend was with Virgin about 2 and a half years ago, but, due to the circumstances at the time, she had to declare bankruptcy, and, the outstanding debt owed to Virgin (approx £95 odd) was included in this.

To cut a long story short, in early December she received a letter from debt collectors acting on behalf of Virgin informing her they have been passed her file from Virgin to collect the outstanding debt (as well as the ridiclious fee's they charge).

Fuming, she rung them and explained the situation, the "lovely" person she spoke to on the phone told her she would need to send proof of bankruptcy to them and provided an e-mail address.

We sent this, but they have come back today saying they cannot accept as there is no actual proof this has come from her!!!! We are both fuming and basically wondered if anyone on here has any form of suggestions with regards to a very "polite" e-mail/letter we could send back to them?

Thanks :D
