Hello

Has anyone had letters forwarded by email by AIC issued by American Express, the originals of which have never been received?

There is an thread on here by someone that starts with such a letter

Will explain more to those that reply,,, don't want to jinx anything!

Best

J

Have you recieved a Notice of Assignment? Do you know if they have purchased the debt or are acting on behalf of the OC?

When was your card taken out? When ws the last time you made payment? Have you checked your credit file to see if their is an entry and who is managing it?

My advice is given through personal experience and is given without prejudice

American Express have been slapped recently by the OFT for poor collection practices.

The hopeless AIC are one of the DCAs they use; nothing would surprise me with this particular gang of morons. Whilst irritating, though, they are generally harmless.

In light of Amex's popularity with the OFT, a complaint is always good.
