I got a letter from Rail prosecution unit for not touching my oyster card at chadwell heath station and I have touched at Statford instead where i was caught by the Rail inspector. He took my details and said Rail company will send some letter and i had to respond. I did respond them explaining what happened and then apologized and requested them not to take me to court and also agreed to pay any fines.

will i still get a Court summons, if i get this would ruin my life and i will be in a very bad situation.

can anyone help me to get out of this situation.

The Rail Company may still proceed to prosecution.

Much depends on what actually happened at the time you were questioned ie;

whether or not you held any ticket at all, (a PAYG Oyster card that has not been touched in at the start of a journey is not a valid ticket.)

whether you held means to pay the fare,

whether you were co-operative,

whether you have previously been warned,

whether or not you gave any false information before being properly identified.

No-one can give you a definitive answere here, you will need to wait until you get the answer to your letter.

By the way, I'll post the same reply on your other thread. It makes life so much easier for people who try to help if you stick to one thread with these questions.
