Hi there,

Could be stressing to the max today received a really odd letter from EOS Solutions

when I've only got one more and final payment next month to make having already made 3 to date!

Just lost my cool with one of the phone drons who couldn't get me of the phone fast enough (who says these DCA are easier to deal with!?)

Like I say I received this strange letter which EOS say has been worded wrongly concerning 'Advance Notice Of Change Of Direct Debit Collection' but I've not changed my payment details or shown any intention of!!! admittely after the very 1st payment I did change my details but that was like 2 whole payments ago

but now I'm really anxious and even more so because I've never actually had any kind of receipt/s from them in actual fact or them even acknowledge my up to date balance - is this right? can I expect any problems as clearly they have my details for the wonderful direct debit...

Now I realise how badly I've handled this - eek no prove the debt of them, spoken to them on the telephone only, no receipt of payment, no confirmation and given them my bank details - I mean the way they have handled this shocking and they could be any old body ! (I realise their not but just find their poor paperwork a little undesirable...) so could they be reported ?

Thanks for replying Stormski,

Realised this afterwards it was some time back now when it all got set up they were 'very nice' at first !

I kinda generally learn the lesson afterwards - got caught unawares and wasn't so clued up back then ! I think I'm going to have to be writing letter to bank revoking their permission after last payment and will try cancelling as soon as the penultimate goes out

Great one more I've got to watch like to hawk now ... doh!

Thanks again

Best way to cancel it is online if you have the facility.

Golden rule is never speak to them on the phone.

If you have no online facility to cancel the direct debit, ring up your Banks/Building Society's 24hr number and cancel immediately.

As above, please post more information on this debt that you have been paying.

Stigman

NEVER telephone a DCA

If a DCA rings you, refuse to go through the security questions & hang up!

Morning all

Thank you for your replies and advice

Sorry for any mis-representation

The debt I totally admit to - knew about it etc and to date I'm 75% paid up

Was a rep for a well known large cosmetics company and ran into difficulties when I didn't get paid for goods

lucky it was a relatively small amount just under £150 in all but I think that had grown when it went to EOS - I just was given a total figure to pay

I also notice that around same time this was entered onto my credit report to so must be 'A**n' passing over to EOS

I guess even in the absence of no notification whatsoever at the mo from EOS, I have my bank statements to prove the payments

Many thanks again

Maybe request a statement that shows any added charges/fees and interest, and what they were for.

Under OFT guidance they are obliged to let you have this info free of charge.

Or for a quid all the above and a copy of any NOA.

Depends on whether you want to ignore or take them on.
