AOL keep calling at least twice a day asking me if I want to switch landline service over to them.

The landline is the landlords responsibility, we are not allowed to change it to any other provider, and I keep telling them this, but they don't understand.

I have no trouble understanding them, but I assume they are just reading from a script, and our number goes straight back into their auto-dialler.

I need a number for AOL in the UK so I can speak to someone, explain the situation and put a stop to this!

Registering with TPS stops a lot of unwanted marketting calls.

http://www.tpsonline.org.uk/tps/what/

(Also, after registering, next AOLer that calls, tell them you are registered with TPS and it's unlawful for them to contact you... it may help you never know!)

If in doubt, contact a qualified insured legal professional (or my wife... she knows EVERYTHING)

Or send a cheque or postal order payable to Reclaim the Right Ltd.

to

923 Finchley Road London NW11 7PE

Click here if you fancy an email address that shows you mean business! (only £6 and that will really help CAG)

If you can't donate, please use the Internet Search boxes on the CAG pages - these will generate a small but regular income for the site

Please also consider using the

C.A.G. Toolbar

AOL is a uk company though, you can certainly lodge a complaint with them if the calls continue, and being registered with TPS only adds to your point of view.

We are AOL customers for broadband, would registering with TPS still stop them calling?

I have tried every number for aol that I can find on their website, but I still get through to the same useless phone plebs.

I did get through to an english lady when I rang the number for press enquiries, but she gave me the 0844 number again hung up.

TPS stops unsolicited marketting calls. As you are customers their calls are not "unsolicited"

You can opt out of all marketting tho... you need to let AOL know this.
