Could anyone tell me what kind of questions a Medical Assessor is likely to ask? If the time of the appointment is too early are you allowed to ask for a later time. A friend has difficulty getting up early in a morning as she has ME. Any tips for the assessment is appreciated. Thanks.

DLA medicals are generally held at the claimants' house. Don't do anything that you wouldn't normally do. IE, if it's normal to get up and stay in pyjamas because you can't dress yourself, do that. With medication and any aids, keep them where you'd expect to find them. For example, my cane is always in the bag I take with me when I go out (or at least it's in my room) and my medication is kept in the bathroom - because I need a mirror and be able to wash my hands before and after to use.

Correct [blush]

Just to prewarn your friend, expect a long battle but don't give up.

On the morning aspect, I wouldn't change that as you want to person to see how she is not just when she is feeling a bit better.
