Hello

My own thread

I have sent the "data protection act 1998 subject access request "letter template to NatWest on 5/8/06 and received on 11/9/06 two years of bank statements although the account ran for 5 years .

The 40 days are nearly up so i shall phone NatWest and ask them where the remaining statements are .

Yep, highlight all the charges that you can claim back.

Download the spreadsheet in the templates library, and enter into it all the charges with as much information as possible, print it off, complete the Premlim approach letter (also in the template library), and fire that off to your bank along with the spreadsheet printout.

You can claim for "Referral Charge" and "Unpaid item", also "Card Misuse".

There may also be some additional charges, on my statements (from RBOS) they're listed as "Charge to XX-oct" etc.

You should be careful not to claim back anything that you have agreed to pay, such as an Overdraft Loanguard, or any fees that your account has (ie - the Royal Bank of Scotland has a Royalties account which incurrs a monthly cost), I don't know if Natwest has a similar account type.

"Excess borrowing" ... if that's for going over your overdraft limit, or going over your available credit then yep, that can be claimed back too.

"excess borrowing"

From the statement

"Should you overdraw without arrangmentyou will be charged our unarranged borrowing rate which is currently 29.5%PA"

Excess borrowing 6 Days @ £3.50 = £21.00

Is this acceptable for me to claim ?

In the NW forum I have posted on adgd fees and what can be claimed not excluding all those charges mentioned. On the interest side of things it is the interest on the unlawful charges that you can claim
