Hi All,

I've sent Data protection, then preliminary letter, to which I got a standard "not on your nelly" reply.

But.................. on Preliminary letter I asked for £1615 plus £413 in overdraft interet. Have I gone wrong (see red) ? Are they gonna know I am complete numpty and not get money back ?

"If you send the bank a letter before you have given them time to pay up demanding 8% APR they will know that you do not know what you are doing and this will more than likely end up with you NOT getting your money back."

Any advice gratefully received.

Cheers

Overdraft interest is different form the 8% interest which is added at the Moneyclaim stage. It sounds like you had done it right, however that amount of overdraft interest sounds quite a lot. Did you calculate this from the statements or using one of the online spreadsheet tools? Double-check your figures, but in theory sounds like you are ok.

Good luck with claim
