I had an account with Lloyds Tsb which I closed in June 2005 which i had basically forgotten about until the revolution of claiming charges back came about. I was charged a fortune on this account so fingers crossed i get it back!!

Anyway i had forgoten my account number so popped into my local branch with the excuse that I neede my duplicate statements to query payments to a loan company. Rather than go through the SAR process the customer service rep took my request at the branch. I was abit duvious about doing it this way but when she asked me for £10 I was a bit reassured, She also gave me her name and a receipt. Better still she said I should receive the info within 7 days!!!

I will keep you posted with any developments:)

AARRGGHH!!! Forgot that my account was upgrade to a classic to aid me to get a better rate on a loan. Just got my statements and only got the ones which relate to the classic account (only 3 charges!!) I am about to write to them now asking for information on ALL accounts. Should I send another £10 just incase??

Hi Johnpaulstone,

Did the two different account types share the same account number? If so, Lloyds may well be in breach of the data protection act, assuming they fail to provide you the information on the earlier account type within the 40 day period.

If, however, it's a different account number - then yep, another £10.
