Hoping for a bit of advice on this condition .

After an accident at work in 2008 I began experiencing problems with my left arm .

Initially my GP diagnosed a pulled muscle in tha shoulder/neck and I was off work for 2 weeks .

I resumed work and , although a little sore , thought I was on the mend .

In the following months I began to experience sharp pains down my left arm which began to get more frequent .

This progressed to pins and needles and numbness .

Concerned I went back to my GP who diagnosed a pinched nerve and gave me some more pain killers .

The symptoms continued and worsened , mild to severe cramping in my upper arm/numbness/pins and needles/sleeples nights and unable to find any position to be comfortable .

It had now dawned on me that the accident was most probably the root cause for the problem .

I went back to my GP who referred me for physio ( 3 month wait ).

I decided to put in for a personal injury claim against my employer Aug 2009 .

I went to physio and was given some exercises and the problem settle down for a few weeks .

Then it flared up with avengeance .

Through my claims solicitor I was seen by a specialist who recommended more physio .

Now I can't thank the physio enough , the treatment has been brilliant and the cramping/aching in my upper arm has all but disappeared and he explained what the problem was (CHD) .

I have now finished the course of physio and am waiting for the report to go back to my solicitors .

As I've said the treatment has worked wonders but I am only back to where I was with pins & needles/numbness and increase in muscle spasms in my arm .

The physio has told me to refrain from any heavy lifting and in future not to overwork my left shoulder as the symptons would return and require more physio .(something I can't afford at £35 for half hour)

Anyone here had better luck or a more permanent solution ?
