Hi Guys,

I wonder if anyone could answer a qucik question for me?

I had a loan from CitiFinance who sold it without telling me to 1st credit in Feb 08. 1st Credit then registered a default on my file dated Nov 2007. Can they register information on a debt they didnt own at the time they claim it was defaulted? CitiFinance never registered any information on me and never sent me a default notice.

Secondly, 1st Credit bullied me in to paying over £1500 before I took advice and sent them a CCA in June 2008 to check under what authority they were collecting this debt. They have never produced it. An SAR request shows that they have requested it from Citi but as it is not available they have closed the file and have not contacted me since. Can I pursue them to reclaim the money I paid them as it seems they should not have been collecting money from me in the first place? They said I admitted the debt - I do admit to owing Citi, but not 1st Credit.

Thanks in advance...
