I am trying to uninstall I Explorer from a friends laptop as it won't start properly. I have managed to install Firefox using my pen drive but I still want to uninstall and reinstall I Explorer. I know Firefox is better but I want them to keep I Explorer as a back up.

Unfortunately, I cannot uninstall it, even when I use CCleaner tools.

Any Ideas?

If all else fails, kick them where it hurts and SOD'EM;)

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

did you try running IE without add-ons first and reset it defaults? Type 'iexplore -extoff' in the start menu (start>run if xp) I wouldn't recommend not having IE on your computer, many websites are still optimized for IE and sometimes others browsers won't work properly. It's always good just to have it as backup.

Have to agree with this... some microsoft updates are only available downloading through IE at present.

Quite an old thread, but just to add... IE 9 seems a lot nicer!
