You need to convert the images to PDF format and then post them up....use this method by dx100uk

set your default scan page size to A4 less than 300DPI [150 will do]

scan the required letters/agreements/sheets - as a picture[jpg] file

don't forget you can use a mobile phone or a digital camera too!!

'

BUT......

ENSURE: remove all pers info inc. barcodes etc using paint program

but leave all monetary figures and dates.

************************* ************************* *******

{DO NOT USE A BIRO OR PEN OR USE SEE THRU TAPE OR LABELS]

try http://www.pdfescape.com TO BLANK STUFF,

************************* ************************* ***********

or

DO IT IN MSPAINT.EXE or any photo editing program

goto one of the many free online pdf converter websites ...

http://freejpgtopdf.com/

if you have multiple scans/pics

put them in a word doc FIRST and convert that to PDF

or use http://www.pdfmerge.com

convert existing PC files to PDF [office has an installable print to PDF option]

..

it would be better to upload a multipage pdf if

you have many images too rather than many single pdfs

.

or if you have PDF as an installed printer drive use that

or use word and save as pdf

try and logically name your file so people know what it is.

though dont use full bank names or CAG in the title

i'e Default notice dd-mm-yyyy TSB

.

open a new msg box here

hit go advanced below the msg box

hit manage attachments below that box

hit the add files button on the top right

hit select files, navigate to your file on your pc

hit upload files

Before making any full and final, you should ensure that you have done your calculations for the reclaim of charges and associated interest so you know exactly what you might owe them (or the other way around)

Wow there an awful lot of charges on there to be reclaimed.

You should be looking to reclaim the fees for things like

Telephone calls

Letters

Unpaid direct debits

Unpaid credit card payments

etc. etc.

Use this spreadsheet

CISheet v101.xls

Follow the instructions in the "Notes" tab. When done lets see what the sheet gives you as a claim amount.

Do you have the agreements for these loans?

Indeed ims. OP could be in for a nice little windfall which should reduce the debt a fair amount. Especially when the interest is added to it :)

Any advice i give is my own and is based solely on personal experience. If in any doubt about a situation , please contact a certified legal representative or debt counsellor..

Thanks guys,

I've added up all of the charges for phone calls, letters, unpaid DD's etc but wasn't sure on the some of the things. For example, what is an HDPI fee? I've added them in anyway. I've not added in the monthly default sum fee interest which I have been being charged at the cost starting at 66p and arriving at a monthly cost of £1.16 since the 30th June 2009. The total of charges is coming in at £857.81, not including monthly default sum fees. I've uploaded a copy of my worksheet to make sure I've sone it right.

Thanks ever so much.

Agreed. Welcome usually charge 30% plus. Not 8%. The interest should be what they actually charged you. Not what they said they were charging you.

  • 3 months later...

Hi guys,

Sorry to bump this thread

I need some more help if anyone can give me a hand.

I submitted a full and final settlement letter to Welcome about 8 weeks ago and got this through today.

Now, first of all,

it makes no sense in terms of the numbers,

secondly I have the letter as sent to me from Norwich Union Direct informing me that my 7 day driveaway insurance is in fact free,

and thirdly, if the interest is added at the beginning of the loan (as she claims) then I also have the letter which states that my maximum credit limit in regards to my affordability is 11500.

So, what do I do?

I've attached the scans of letters etc.

If anyone can help I'd be very grateful...:|

There has been a break here since the posts in February so what has happened with your charges claim amount?

Did you send them a spreadsheet with the correct interest amount?

Did you take that into account when offering your Full and Final?

How did you calculate your offer of £100 as the F&F?

Their letter is wrong when they say that OFT consider £12 is reasonable. The OFT said that they would not investigate charges of £12 and below but they did not say that they were ok.

Hi guys, thanks for coming back to me.

I did send a breakdown of the charges to them plus the interest as per the spreadsheet, and that's what they've come back to me with.

It's taken them this long to come back with an answer.

I should really have asked for help ref settlement offer, but was getting annoyed with their constant phone calls.

I took the amount they had valued the car at, plus the interest they said they had charged (which came out at the 9200ish figure quoted above,

saw that I had paid off 8900+ and thought well it's a third of what I owe them, charges not withstanding.

I genuinely don't know how they've come up with their figure.

Any ideas as to what I go back to them with?

I did reclaim the PPI, which she included in the final amount that she said that I'd paid (11000 something) and I did try and reclaim the shortfall insurance in the last letter but she has said nothing in response.
