ive just checked my file with checkmyfile and i have no less that 4 old credit card debts with the default date over 6 years old on my file

one of them had dropped off my file in sept last year only to be put back on again as of today !!!

how do i remedy this as simply as possible?

is there a template?

do i write to the OC the DCA , the CRA or the Info Commisioner ?

any advice will be greatly appreciated

ive just filled in the laborious EQUIFAX online complaint form and before i clicked the submit button it says

"did you know...Credit Agreement information remains on your Credit Report for a period of six years from the date that the account was settled, written off or defaulted, whichever occurs first. Active accounts will remain on your Credit Report indefinitely.

Credit Agreements are stored and updated as supplied to us by the Lenders and as such can only be amended by receiving written instructions to do so from the Lender to Equifax."

not exactly helpful then

Default details as follows...

1)A&L Jan 2004 (last payment was 6 months before that)

2)Lowel Feb 2004 (last payment oct 2003)

3)cahoot. March 2005 (last payment Oct 2003!!)

4)Halifax - feb 2004 (last payment august 2003)

the last payments are clear from CRA's own credit report

just because an OC might wait 2 years to default me then the CRA's think that's the start of the 6 years?
