Just wanted to say a big thank you so far for helping me with my issues!!!!

I have managed to deal with issues on my account quickly, and almost to complete satisfaction, just one more little debt gremlin to go, and then by Feb 2010 I am completly debt free, the last problem however goes a little something like this...

Welcome finance were approached by my debt management people who tried to negotiate a reduced payment with them. What Welcome did however was write off the original loan and re-start a new loan in my name without my knowledge...

I never signed an agreement, nor was I privy to the fact they had set up a new loan.

Since I didn't make payments to my debt plan they never recieved any money for this 'loan' and so defaulted that loan too.

Is it me, or is this illegal to set up and take out a loan without my consent?

And as they have written off the old loan, does that mean they can no longer ask for money for it?

With no signature, they would struggle to enforce....have you made a request for your agreement ? (CCA) Have you sent them a SAR ? there are some useful templates in the link in my signature below...
