My file ID is also DEAA49C0D2B8F152E8486E 83EFB2929B3F9A1CAB and my ip is wrong on the last six numbers...what is the best way to approach this? it says i only have 21 days to pay.I know i didn't download the file but i could really do without this hassle and could probably scrape together the money just so i dont need to worry for months on end about this.I dont know what to do....

If you didnt download the file why on earth are you even thinking about paying up ?

The phrase 'speculative invoicing' was used in the You & Yours consumer watchdog program about ACS, and thats exactly what it is.

 

Incidently most ISP IP adresses wont be static this means that they are liable to change, mainly when you reset your connection/router, etc

can't find the file is the ID missing any think or isit wrong in any part..??

 

also itis 100% true but it's only a IP address they have on you

look up SRA phone them and tell them about it the more that do it the better...

Guys anyone had a letter from acs about the scooter download do as i have done contact scooter themselves via theyre official website email them at **EDITED** tell them how angry you are and how you wont be buying any more of theyre cds and that you will be advising your friends to follow suit make it public too post on myspace facebook twitter etc the more public this becomes the more likely this whole thing will be dropped as im sure scooter probably dont know the harrassment theyre fans have been subjected too if i get a response ill post it here

I know,but things like this really make me worry and i simply can't deal with being harassed right now.I was also accused last year by davenport of downloading hardcore gay porn! im straight! and that had me worried for months until i heard they were dropping the cases.I dont want to go through all that again

nice one haggis hunter encourage anyone u know thats in the same boat to follow suit id be very surprised if scooter even know this is happening some people have even suggested raising awareness by sumbmitting album reviews on places such as hmv,amazon,play etc or even write about in on facebook,twitter etc we can and will beat these guys we just need to get enough ppl to make some noise

Scooter is probably as much a victim of this as you are, I can't see what can be gained by everyone emailing them - email address removed, as sharing of personal information isn't allowed on open forum.

 

Again, everyone needs to refer to the forum rules before posting - there will be no more warnings about this, any accounts that persist in flouting our standards of conduct will find their account subject to moderation.

as there 'work' is being qouted in these letters then I personally feel that they should be made aware. I am not saying in an abusive way but this could be potentially very damaging to there music career and if they are unaware then they have a right to put there 10 pence worth in to ACS:Law or Digiprotect etc

i'v made a facebook fan site to try and make pep's know about this matter called LOGISTEP IP TRACKERS if you have FB be a fan as pass it on to as meny as you can so even them that dont know about it will know
