I CCAd NastyWest re a credit card sometime ago

As part of the CCA they sent a copy of the latest statement effectively:

Balance brought forwards £xxxx.xx

Balance now due £xxxx.xx

That shows the amount that they are claiming, but doesn't prove the balance.

My question is, what should the CCA statement of account contain? Just the current balance or a complete list of transactions, advances, charges, interest, payments & adjustments?

I haven't seen the answer to this anywhere.

The CCA states 'statement of account' which I would interpret as being what you have received.

If you want statements for the account you will have to go the DSAR route.

I really do appreciate all those 'thank you' emails - I'm glad I've been able to help. Apologies if I haven't acknowledged all of them.

You can also ding my gong if you prefer. :)

I was wondering if a statement of account in CCA terms was different to just the latest statement showing the balance.

If it should be all transactions then there are a lot of invalid CCA responses around!
