Thanks Rooster.... I spoke to one of there advisers, very nice chap, took some details, sent me the forms by e-mail. I have just looked at the forms again and they look amateur, then i got a gut feeling, but i just needed second opinion. Back to the drawing board

I have taken up a Debt Management Plan with Action Today. At no point was I offered a loan?

Having been in the plan now for about 14 months, I can tell you the following

1. I only make one payment which is affordable to me

2. All but one of my 8 debts have stopped interest. although I still get calls from time to time, it no longer bothers me.

My debt was £28,000 when I joined them. I pay £300.00 per month. I decided not to do an IVA as I get a bonus from work based on my attendance and productivity.

If I could improve the service I have had to date, it would be nice if I could have a e-mail statement rather than a paper one each month.

I have to start by saying that I only came across this forum when I was searching for Action Today. I wanted to visit there site to recommend a friend of mine to them. I used Action Today in the past, and I have to say that they are brilliant. They helped me deal with my debts and never once offered a loan. Infact the young man that came to my house told me about all of the solutions available, and explained the difference between each one. I found this impressive, as every other company wanted to push IVA or Debt Management only.

Whilst they were dealing with my account I also recieved a statement each month but more importantly I had calls from head office on a regular basis to let me know how everything was.

I recommend them above any other company in their sector. I for one have dealt with them for over 3 years and wouldnt change a thing about them.

This is the first i have heard of them, what else did they offer apart from DMP or IVA, do they keep client funds in protected accounts

I have no idea about client funds. But they have helped me with full and finals in the past when I got redundancy money. They weighed up dept management, an iva, remortgage or going bankrupt at first and explained the ins and outs of each. I couldn't afford an iva, had only just remortgaged and could not consider bankruptcy.

Anyway I opted for debt management, I know this takes longer but I get another lump sum in august and all this can be put behind me.

I have taken up a debt managment Plan with Action Today.

Having been in the plan now for 12 months over my original agreed time, I can tell you the following

1. I still receive debt collector letters from all of my banks - so no debts have stopped interest.

2. I receive no update from Action Today - and have received no proactive updates for the last 12 months.

3. I am worried that I may no longer be able to get a mortgage until it is to late for me.

At this time I feel like I may have entered into some sort of [problem] as I have no reason to think otherwise. My advice would be stay clear!
