when i was with yorkshire bank they used to charge me rediculous amounts each flaming week so in the end i got fed up and started getting my wages paid into another account and left yorkshire at about £100.00 authorised overdrawn. i didnt pay this back and they have chased me for a couple of years for £465 which i was refusing to pay.

Can i actually claim back my charges on this account? as if anything i could then afford to clear that debt?!

yep certainly

though ofcourse, you need to bear in mind the current 'stay' on all bank a/c charges unless hardship can be brought into play.

have a read of a few posts.

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

YorkshireClydesdale Bank are a nasty little bank. We have court documents in which they have stated on a signed statement of truth that their charges are comprised of administrative costs. Yet we demonstrated on the BBC2 Whistleblower programme that their costs for bouncing a cheque etc were no more than a couple of pounds.

We presented our evidence to an MP at the House of Commons and later on when the bank were invited to a meeting at the Commons to give their side, they withdrew from the meeting when they learned that I would be there.

Yes you can claim all of your charges back and you should get started now and issue a court claim. It will go on hold but your money won't be wasted

By the way, we believe that you can claim all the way back to 1995.
