I am wanting to change my Business Bank Account to Barclay's from Nat West. When I saw the Business Manager, he did a credit check, and it showed a CCJ dated 2/8/06. On 2/11/06, I went into an IVA, and the amount of the CCJ went into the IVA. How do I show to Barclay's that the CCJ was not acted on, as they will not let me open an account with this CCJ. Any advise would be appreciated.

Hi

How do you mean not acted on? Even though you entered an IVA if the CCJ has been issued correctly then it will remain on your file for 6 years i am afraid. The IVA is just a way of making payment to your creditors, financial information that is entered on to your files if correct will remain there until the date of drop off.

Hope that helps!

Yes they are strict on this.

When I applied for my Barclays business account they pulled me up over a CCJ from 5 years earlier that had been settled (it was only for 21.00 too)

It was only because my partner who was a joint applicant, had a clean record that the account was granted.
