UK, I've just flagged this thread up on a couple of other debt-related CAG forums. Given the news that Lord Taylor allegedly took money from Experian to influence legislation, I think you may get a few more hits and hopefully the fund (and legal expertise and support) will grow.

Do you think the legislation that waa allegedly 'postponed' by the alleged donation was in relation to another story just appearing on here about the statute barred level being considerd to be changed to 3 years...might that have an affect on how long CRA's can hold onto info? I mea,n, if you then wouldn't be allowed to be hounded for debts after 3 years, surely that would make them recnsider the 6 years that CRAs hold onto info - espeically as that appears to be an arbitrary number pulled out of thin air?

why do experian have the right to keep data on peopl in the first place?

because they brought and paid for a license to do so.

If you set up a company, paid all the fee's for licensing etc,you could do exactly the same.

I am working on the Lowell case at the moment, which is a key part of the Experian Case. should i win the lowell. i then will be able to quote that case in the Experian Case which in turn will help alot.

Good morning UK 26, found your thread about 2 hours ago and I'm still awake at 1.30am and it's all your fault (drips butter from toasted bagel all over his keyboard). Good luck with this but do not forget to keep your back covered. I'll PM you and get a postal order off to you on Monday.[/font]

Up the wooden hill now, night night
