I have a car finance agreement with toyota finance. We have had the car a year, the agreement is for four years so we have not yet paid a third.

we now cant afford the repayments. TF said we could voluntarily surrender and there would be a shortfall of £5500 for which an arrangement can be made. They will not discuss a repayment plan until they have the car.

The TWIST. The agreement does not show the correcr reg no. When we bought it, it had a private reg on which we then changed. However the finance company were not informed. The agreement has the wrong reg put the correct vin plate. Any options here.

NO the wrong no. will not invalidate the agreement

However if you could after removing any identifying details post your agreement here we could see if it's enforceable

Also get a valuation from another franchise dealer & check out Auto Trader so you'll have some idea what it's worth
