Hi,

About a year ago my sister went reclaim her bank charges.

It was put on hold due to the Test Case.

She has today recieved a letter from the Yorkshire Bank advising that she cannot reclaim until the final court date.

Is this true or should she re start the ball rolling to get her money back.

Any advice much appriciated.

Hi lynski3053 could you give me more details?

You say she "went reclaim her bank charges" how far did she go, what letters did she send?

The thing is the banks are supposed to log all complaints when they are made so they can deal with them when the case is over, if your sisters complaint hasnt been registered back then but is now it means any of the older charges (further back than June 02) may be statute barred.

I need to know how far she got with her complaint before advising further.

The Yorkshire Bank have this week sent letters to all customers who currently have a claim for bank charges which explains that all cases are still on hold pending the outcome of the ongoing case.

Your sister needs to do nothing as there is nothing she can do. Her claim is registered so she will have to wait for the outcome.
