I opened my campaign against these three with DPA letters sent on the 26th of last month. Aquacard (which is Bank of Scotland) sent duplicate statements immediately, but no more than that. Monument sent me two letters, one trying to charge me £5 per statement, the other wanting to discuss it on the phone. I replied to the effect that they cannot charge more than £10, which I authorised them to take, and that I am not prepared to discuss the matter on the phone. Capital One gave me another address, and asked me to contact them with £10 payment, and they will send the info within 40 days. The address is:

NG2 3HX

 

That's three of them started; four more to go, including two Natwest accounts.

if you are going to COs legal compliance section, go for the SUBJECT ACCESS REQUEST. You want the whole lot, not just statements...... they gave them to me FOC.

 

Capital One do not instruct any one to deal will case afaia, once you get the last 2 charges or a couple of hundred as a good will geusture from the help desk staff they will not budge no further, then if you go court action you will get corraspondance from a ' legal specialist' that appears to have very little understanding of how the system works and seem to be nothing more than admin assistants that are paid to produce letters contain unusual in appropriate advice etc etc.
