lOng story short, i live in my fathers property who has moved out, we are both customers of british gas, this last 3 years they have always got or accounsts mesed, my bils going to his house etc.

Well after calling them numerous times and promising they have sorted this out, the ultimate nightmare they have sent a letter with my name on to my dads address advising of MY bancruptcy.

Ive had enough and as i cant get hold of anyone to cause GBH, what can i do legally?

I rang up last week and said if any further data protection acts were breached, especially regarding my bacruptcy i would seek legal advice.

Any one advise

Ps still getting dissconetion notices,

Hi Chaps

I've has two years of gas hell with BG. I will be looking into suing them once I recover from this rotten bug that's goind round. I estimate a bill of at least £50 just in phone charges over the past few years and I'm armed with a two page apology letter sent 4 months ago from their Customer Service Department, so it's off to court I will likely go.

It's been a good six months since I've last had a contentious consumer gripe so there's plenty of pent up frustration flowing through my veins lol.

I'll set up a thread once I get going so we can monitor progress.

I would always advise that you get an official complaint into the Energy Ombudsman before commencing action - quoting a Case Number in your correspondence shows you are serious and that an independent body is going to be privvy to all correspondence.

3 Active Claims:

Barclays Refund of Bank Charges (Sole account) - Applied to lift court ordered Stay

Barclays Refund of Bank Charges (Joint account) - Awaiting court date

Barclays Refund of Bank Charges (Joint account) Pre-6 yrs- LBA sent.

3 Wins :

Barclays t/a The Woolwich (Data Protection Act breach costs & compliance)

HSBC (on behalf of brother)

Settled Out of Court - £3,874.76

Alliance & Leicester (on behalf of friend)

Settled Out of Court - £723.41
