  1. I made a complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service about Ikano (New Look) back in 2009 as they couldn't produce the default notices that they claimed to of sent. In the information they gave to the Financial Ombudsman Service it said they sent out default notices on the 30/01/06 and 28/05/07 but on my credit file they have listed the default date as 19/07/07. I know there isn't very long left till it gets removed from my credit file but is it worth contacting them now to have it removed immediately? any help is appreciated

  3. Hi All, Looking for some advice on whether I can claim mis-sold PPI on a Burtons storecard (Now Santander)dating back to the late 90's but was closed around 2007? Can anyone advise on this and if indeed there was PPI even applied to this type of card as I no longer have any paperwork just some direct debit entries on my current account to show when I had this card and the re-payments. Santander have already advised that they dont have any records of this, even though they supplied my account number on the response so find this hard to believe and think they are fobbing me off.
  4. Hi, I currently have a claim with the Financial Ombudsman concerning a Monsoon storecard dating back pre 2005. Originally the bank was Capital Bank Ltd which then transferred to Santander and I have been advised by the FOS that I need to find out who the underwriters were at the time I signed the agreement. Genworth aren't accepting responsibility for this and so far I am having no success in tracking down the organisation who was the underwriter before Santander took over from GE Capital Bank. Has anyone managed to actually find this out? Seems if I don't find this information I can forget pursuing my claim any further. Thanks in anticipation!!
  5. My wife received a default letter from Argos storecard for arrears of thirty nine pounds on her account. The letter came on the fourth of July and the outstanding amount was paid immediately. We then found out that the account had already been passed to moorcroft. She then had to contact them, where they basically bullied her into agreeing to pay £200 per month for a total outstanding of around £900. They told her that this was the minimum she could pay or baliffs would come round. First of all how can Argos pass her account before the 14 days period for payment, and how can moorcroft demand money we cannot afford to pay it back. I have wrote to Argos to get my account returned to them as I have complied with their default letter. I have yet to receive a reply. The first payment is due today. What can we do. Please help
