  1. Help please anyone! Last October I went onto Income support and one of the first things i did was contact SKY, via their ONline chat and cancelled everything that was unnecessary, HD, Movies etc. The chap was helpful and assured me the changes would be made. They were not made and they continued to charge me some £90 a month. Like an idiot i didnt check my bank statements and I never watch TV (kids only) so i had no idea the services were continuing. Idiot I know! Anyway I now have a near £300 bill yo pay which i cant afford so I stopped direct debit on the basis they were charging me for services I had acvtually cancelled, when spoke to them, "Sorry no record of the online chat" - UNBelieveable! I had trouble with sky in the past which is why i did online chat, I thought if i called like i did in the past then i have no record of the concnerverstaion. So I wrote to sky in January and complained and cancelled the account in full, but they keep contacting me telling me that they cant cancel it unless i call them, so i wrote back (all with proof of postage) saying i am not prepared to discuss anything on the phone as I want a record of everything in writing and they wrote bakc AGAIN and said the acocunt is still not cancelled as a they have to go through security on the phone. Is this allowed? I do not want to talk to them on the phone!
  2. Hello guys I moved a couple of months ago and had Sky installed about 1.5 months ago. First we had the tv installed and then waited for the broadband and talk to be installed. We had several issues with the broadband and talk installation and many phone calls and lots of stress. A week ago the broadband was finally applied to the property by a bt engineer. Now we have had sky BB for 1 week but it has been faulty with intermittent connection. We have found out by researching it that the router is faulty and has to be reset every hour! Even when it is working we get poor connection speeds. We would like to cancel the whole sky service as been a nightmare throughout. We have managed to cancel the talk and BB but they say we're now in a contract for the tv. My argument is that we paid for a full service based mainly on the BB. Is there any legal precedence to get the contract cancelled as we sign up as a whole. We have had such a hard time with them we just want to leave now. No compensation, pay the remaining amount etc and just move on. Thanks for any advice. Kevin
