  1. I cannot find the LBA Letter before action in the library (apart from one directed at a bank) is there one thats suiable for me to send to Virgin? Still getting legal letters from them so time to send LBA! Thanks
  2. Help please anyone! Last October I went onto Income support and one of the first things i did was contact SKY, via their ONline chat and cancelled everything that was unnecessary, HD, Movies etc. The chap was helpful and assured me the changes would be made. They were not made and they continued to charge me some £90 a month. Like an idiot i didnt check my bank statements and I never watch TV (kids only) so i had no idea the services were continuing. Idiot I know! Anyway I now have a near £300 bill yo pay which i cant afford so I stopped direct debit on the basis they were charging me for services I had acvtually cancelled, when spoke to them, "Sorry no record of the online chat" - UNBelieveable! I had trouble with sky in the past which is why i did online chat, I thought if i called like i did in the past then i have no record of the concnerverstaion. So I wrote to sky in January and complained and cancelled the account in full, but they keep contacting me telling me that they cant cancel it unless i call them, so i wrote back (all with proof of postage) saying i am not prepared to discuss anything on the phone as I want a record of everything in writing and they wrote bakc AGAIN and said the acocunt is still not cancelled as a they have to go through security on the phone. Is this allowed? I do not want to talk to them on the phone!
  3. hi Brigadier! Ive had a reply from Santander this morning sayng that their original decision remains unchanged; " I have contacted our credit data quality team who have advised thatthe information reporting is correct and factual. Both defaults are valid and as such I would not be removing either of these defaults. I can confirm that the XX suffix on your bank account signifies the secondary account holder. This is not an error and this reflects the format used by Experian" OK so im completely confused, their previous letter said that experian etc had made a mistake and that i should contact them so following advice from the brilliant CAG's I wrote back to santander saying that it was their responsibility to notify the CRAS that the error needed to be removed and now they write back saying it was not a mistake after all. In fact the tone of letter is rather unfreindly. I wrote my letter before I saw Brigadiers post #21, so now should i write again and include this? Thank you for your help again
  4. I received a reply from santander who said that this was an error and that I should contact experian or Equifax to get them to correct it. Trouble is my first port of call was contacting experian to ask if it was an error and they said there was nothing they could do and to contact santander!
  5. :madgrin:I cannot seem to find the Letter before action template in the library - can anyone point me in the right direction please?
  6. hello could someone point me in the direction of the LBA template? thank you!
  7. Thank you Brigadier2jcs, I will do as you suggest thank you, can you advise me on best course fo action for the account that they have provided no informatgion on whatsoever in the SAr(that shows a default on my file) cheers
  8. Hello! SAR received back from SANTANDER but; I SAR'd becuase they have registered 2 defaults on my credit file, Included in the SAR are; 1. Bank statement with details of a loan which is now statute barred and not showing on my credit file. 2. what looks like the last page of some T&C's which I have signed, does nto show full T&C's though. 3. Copies of ID provided at the time of opening the account in 2005 (such as old bank statment, copy of driving license etc) 4. Screen print showing Balances and movements. They have not included anything to do with the defaults and when they were issued. Im just wondering what i should do next. Thank you for any help here.
  9. Hi there locotus, had a letter back replying to the statute barred letter you recommende I sent which i did, and the reply says that the account is now closed, Just need to work on the default they have issed now but again that 6 years so i guess that will auto come off the credit file? thank you for all your help on this one
  10. Hi Ida in Fife, no I dont have the cost of repair but i guess that should be my next step? Do you gave a link for the lba letter , is it in the library? cheers idainfife!
  11. I had virgin media installed in January and had all sorts of problems with them (should have walked away then!) but to cut a long story short they did a hurrendous job of wiring the system in, shoddy work, then we discovered they broke the HDMI port on our new TV. We can only now use the socket on the back of the TV which means we only have 1 HDMI port. On top of that the Virgin box kept resetting and freezing and was just awful. I have written to them twice with a list of complaints and cancelling the service (by recorded delivery) but they keep just chasing for money. (about £250.00) . They are ignoring my letters of complaint and I wonder what I should do next! thanks for any advice here!
  12. Hi DX! Would you be able to point me to the failure to comply letter as I cant seem to find it in the library, cheers v much!
  13. Thanks for your reply Locotus, I didnt send the letter when you suggested before as I requested a new copy of my credit report to find that this was now showing on my credit report. Even though it definately was not there before! I think it will be statute barred in MArch or April this year but going by the dates on the credit file its not quite 6 years, in which case could you point me in the right direction with what to do next i received a letter again today stating i must contact them to arrange repaymet with one of their reps.
