  1. Hi I'm wondering if anyone can help. Received a parking Eye charge and appealed but it's been unsuccessful. I wasn't aware of a time limit, shopped for Christmas and I'm disabled so it took longer because a) I can't walk very well and b) the shop was busy with Christmas checkout queues/busy aisles. I was there 1hr 57 mins apparently. In my online appeal I couldn't find the receipt so uploaded a copy of my bank statement showing a purchase on that day. I've since found the receipt. The error I made from reading these boards now is that I named myself (registered keeper is my husband) as the driver. The email I've received today advises me theyve extended the reduced amount of £40 for 14 days further, or I can appeal to POPLA. Do I continue on with the appeal or just have to pay it as I named myself as the driver? Thank you in advance for any help. For PNC's received through the post [ANPR camera capture 1 Date of the infringement 20/12/2017 2 Date on the NTK [this must have been received within 14 days from the 'offence' date] 01/01/2018 3 Date received 05/01/2018 4 Does the NTK mention schedule 4 of The Protections of Freedoms Act 2012? 3. Hi Everyone, As the title says, my car (I wasn't the driver - really!) got an £80 Penalty Notice from CP Plus while parked at Hampton Court Railway station car park. The reason for the penalty was given as code '03' - which is "not displaying a valid pay and display ticket " even though a ticket was purchased and on display! Thanks in advance for any help/advice on this one?
  4. Hi everyone i'm new here, i have letters from hampton legal saying i owe 3 and orange , £350 and £222 but i'm 100% confident if anything i owe them £100 each and these are from about 3/4 years ago and now they are saying the have assessed my finicial situation and that i can afford to pay them in full which is ridiculous as i'm a single mother with no csa or support and only recieve income support child tax credit and child benefit, and my bank account is an overdraft most of the time . Can they freeze my bank account or my childs bank account ? Will they actually take me to court over £572 ? Should i contact them ? Please help i'm so stressed i can't sleep or eat i cannot afford to pay that as i'm living basically hand to mouth as it is. Any advjce would be very much appreciated. Thanks, Emily
  5. Hi, My wife has recently had 2 letters from Lowell Group claiming to be chasing a £321.67 debt for 3 Mobile. It doesn't state when this debt was supposedly from. We had one today from Hampton's :egal, which I was expecting having read through some of the forums on here. I think from memory we had some letters from Lowell on this last year, claiming the same thing which we promptly ignored, but we never got this Hamptons Legal letter. Now, these letters are being sent in my wife's maiden name ( we have been married 3 years this September). And the other main issue here is, she has NEVER had a contract with 3 mobile! Before I met her, she was on Orange mobile and then we both switched to Giff Gaff at the same time. I have no intention of contacting these losers, but my main concern is where have they got this debt from? Is it possible they could just phantom up a figure from a creditor, and try and lay it on thick to see if we would just give them our money? Thanks for any help in advance! Paul
  6. I received a Statutory Demand last June for just under £3000 . I thought it was just another frightening tactic and stupidly ignored it. It relates to a Capitol One credit card debt from at least 2007, maybe earlier. I do have other creditors too amounting to a total of around £20,000, all from around the same period. I lost my job in 2004 and ended up using credit cards to survive. Its taken a while but this year I have managed to pay all my priority debts off including mortgage arrears. Just have these not priority debts to deal with! I did speak to a debt management Company after I received the SD and they told me not to worry as it was just probably only a threat as it would cost them more than the debt was worth to take it bankruptcy. They did send me a proposal for a debt management plan but I decided not to go ahead with it as they were wanting £150 a month (which isn't a problem ) out of which they would take the first two payments as an admin fee and charge £25 a month. I thought it a bit much taking money which could otherwise have been put towards paying the debts off. I have now received a letter from Land Registry Bankruptcy Unit, Enquiry 10A, which implies that papers have been submitted to court for a Bankruptcy petition. I have also spoken to National Debtline who weren't very helpful about the bankruptcy petition and didn't know what the enquiry B10a from land registry was. Postman has just delivered a package from National Debtline with loads of info that I'll have to have a read through! I phoned the court and they said a hearing date had been set for early January next year. I haven't had any papers served to me as yet (thought the package from National Debtline might have been them as it was in a large brown envelope!). At present i am working on a temp to perm basis, presently through an agency but have been giving a permanent start date of January 2013. I am also self employed but don't earn much through self employment as work reduced due to the recession. I have also lost out on self employment work due to switching the phone off because of the continued harassment from Hamptons (up to 20 calls a day) Average net income per month is around £1000. I work long hours (leave home at 5am get home at 5.30pm) and live alone so not been home when the man from Hamptons has tried to visit. Also means that I permanently tired and makes dealing with these types of issues more difficult. There is around £100,000 equity in my home so I really don't want to go bankrupt. I am 51 yrs old and will be able to start taking money from my pension fund in 4 years (original plan was to pay the creditors off with cash from my pension but the age was changed from 50 to 55 before you can start drawing a pension which stuffed me on that one). So not sure what to do now. I don't have any spare cash as it has all been used paying things off but was considering trying to get a loan to pay Hamptons off as its hassle I could just do without at the moment. At this stage would there be additional fees (court fees) on top of the original debt? Chances of getting a loan at a descent rate with my credit history are pretty remote I think though. Is it worth trying to negotiate a payment plan with Hamptons at this stage? Although I can afford a reasonable monthly payment, my worry is that they will demand an unreasonable amount that I don't have at the moment and will affect my ability to formulate a debt management plan with my other creditors. I haven't done a CCA or SARS request yet. Is it too late to do one? Can I get the petition withdrawn at this stage? Any suggestions for my best course of action?
  7. Hi everyone, I have a barclaycard debt that defaulted in April 2009 for £790. The account was opened in 2001 and I know that there have been charges on this card that would cover a large amount of the balance owed. Earlier this year I started receiving letters from Lowell chasing the debt and sent a CCA request to which I got a reply with a reconstituted agreement. They passed on to their other department Red and it is now going to Hamptons to see if they will apply for a CCJ or SD. I know that I need to send a SAR to Barclaycard to get proof of the charges but I am after some advice to what action I can take, I have two questions; 1 If and when I get the statements and evidence of charges, would I just send a claim to Barclaycard and then send a letter to Hampton's saying the account is in dispute? 2. Is there anything I can do now to keep Hampton's at bay? I am a bit worried that they have a track record of issuing SDs and this debt is, in their eyes, over the £750 limit. Thanks, J
  8. Can anyone help me with these people. I have outstanding debts with shopacheck & capital one. The companies have now transferred my debts to these people. I asked them to send the credit agreements for both companies months ago and i am still waiting. Hve they only got a certain timescale to send these agreements as i want to send them a letter but want to have my facts straight before doing so.
