  1. A year last Christmas (2012) My daughter bought me a Grundig mixer, the cast iron one. A few weeks ago it started developing a fault, Turns itself on randomly, then turns itself off and wont turn on again. The lights on it flash randomly. I rang their customer service line this morning and was asked to provide proof of purchase, which i dont have as it was a gift. I have spoken to my daughter who told me she bought it from a catalogue and paid cash weekly it. she is now trying to get hold of the woman who had the catalogue to see if she has POP. Grundig CS informed me that the machine is under warranty for 3 years but the 1st year is with the company it was purchased from. Which is why they need POP. I pointed out that it was a gift and after the 17 months since it was bought getting hold of the POP might prove difficult but they told me that without POP there is nothing they can do. Something i find hard to believe from such a well known company such as this and i had the feeling that i was being fobbed off.
