  1. Following the Manchester bombing earlier this year several concerts have been cancelled. The show I was due to attend this coming Friday 14th July however has had the venue changed. At tht time all of the tickets were cancelled and new tickets issue for the new show, with a pre-sale on Thursday 22nd July for people who originally purchased tickets. I repurchased my tickets through Eventim as that was my original retailer, however I am still waiting for my tickets to be delivered. Every other retailer (ticketmaster, gigs and tours, etc.) used an online e-ticket system, however eventim have opted to post tickets out. Whenever I call them they tell me that the tickets will be posted on Monday and if not I can have them re-issued for box-office collection on the day. As the venue is an outdoor square in Manchester city centre there is no box office, however they've told me there will be a pop-up box office. After spending £200 on 4 tickets I don't feel too comfortable waiting until the day to collect them, especially as eventim and their staff don't really seem to know what's going on. As I've paid for standard delivery (£2.50) when placing the order, will I be eligable to cancel the order due to breach of contract as they have not sent the item out and now seem to want people to collect them in person, negating the need to pay for postage on top of the booking fee. If not, is there any other way I can cancel my order and re-order through a different service?
  2. hi everyone, as a xmas present, my wife booked me two tickets to see AC/DC in concert at the etihad stadium in june this year, since booking them it has been revealed that due to illness the lead singer can no longer tour with the group and has had to be replaced. This has completely took the shine off the concert for me and do not now wish to attend, she booked a refund protection facility but in the t's & c's it says unless the concert is cancelled, or i have a valid doctors note etc etc we can't recieve a refund. But the band is not now the original band i wanted to see, do i have any right of a refund as in effect this is not the product that we originally booked for? thanks.
  3. Hi I bought a VIP ticket for a concert in Germany. The ticket was shipped over and Royal Mail decided to send it back to Germany. It has been held in Germany for several months and it doesn't look like it will be shipped back. I paid for the ticket through Paypal. However, the 45 day limit has passed and they don't allow refunds on concert tickets anyway. I have asked the company I bought the ticket from if I can have a refund and they have told me that if the ticket isn't shipped back in time, they will place my name on the guest list on the day of the concert. There is obviously some risk involved here as the company selling the tickets were an online shop, making them a third party. So when I get there, I might find that my name isn't on the guest list at all. The ticket might also be delivered while I am in Germany, which will mean that my name won't be on the guest list and I won't have access to the ticket. I have asked if being on the guest list will give me the same treatment as if I had a VIP ticket and based on their response, it doesn't look like it will be the case. The VIP ticket comes with two benefits: 1. Priority entry. If you are first in the VIP line, you will be first in the concert. 2. Chance to meet the artist. I have asked if I will still get both of these without the VIP ticket. I have been told that if I am first in line, I will have to explain the situation once I am inside and they will then look into it. While this is happening, the people who were behind me in the queue will be entering ahead of me. Depending on how long it takes them to sort out, people who only paid for GA tickets might get in ahead of me too. They completely ignored my question where I asked if I would still get to meet the artist. I also sent another e-mail where I only asked if I would still get to meet the artist and, unlike the other e-mails where I received a prompt reply, I didn't receive a reply at all. It doesn't look like I will get to meet the artist without the ticket. They have told me that according to EU directives resp. § 312b German Civil Code (BGB) does not apply, so any sale for concert tickets with any regular ticket outlet in EU is final. Is there anything I can do about this to get a refund? At the end of the day, I haven't received the ticket and their alternative offer isn't what I paid for.
  4. Back in December I purchased 2 presale tickets to see Robbie Williams which came to £170.00. These were advertised by Ticketmaster as the best seats available. These were for his first show at Wembley on Saturday 29th June. On the night of the concert we were horrified to discover that we could barely see Robbie Williams on the Stage and the only screen had a large speaker covering 2/3rds of it, so we only ended up seeing at best, Robbie Williams ankles I emailed Ticketmaster who advised that I contact the promoters, Metropolis Music. I heard nothing from them until late on Wednesday 3rd July when I received the following email:- [iThank you for contacting us regarding the Robbie Williams concert on the 29th June 2013 at Wembley Stadium. We are sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. As with any stadium event there are huge levels of production to create a spectacle for the many thousands of attendees. Every experience is unique and subjective so whilst we don’t share your feelings with regards to your complaint we would like to move forward with this matter. As a gesture of good will we would like to invite you back to Wembley to see the Robbie Williams show from a different perspective – this time on the pitch/unreserved seats in level 1 – on Friday 5th July. If you are interested in this without prejudice offer please contact us and your tickets will be ready to collect from 4pm on Friday 5th July at the guest list – further details to follow. Best wishes Metropolis Music ][/i] Needless to say, there was no way I could get time off work at such short notice and most definitely couldn't afford to pay for additional hotel accommodation. Yesterday I received the following email from Ticketmaster:- [iThank you for your email. I'm sorry to hear that you weren't happy with the view from your seats. As a ticketing agent we sell tickets on behalf of the promoters and all seating information is confirmed to us by the promoter prior to going on sale. The promoter works with the production company to make sure they know where the stage and mixer delays are likely to be at every event and make us aware of any restricted views. Unfortunately even with all the advance site maps the exact location of the stage can never be 100% accurate as the set design is often adjusted when it’s being installed. I can assure you Ticketmaster wasn't advised of any restriction in the viewing from these seats and the tickets were sold as full view in good faith. The promoter of the event has advised it will look into all restricted view complaints personally and has requested we direct all complaints to them. Please contact Metropolis Music directly who will investigate your complaint further. Once again. I would like to apologise for any disappointment caused and assure you of our best intentions at all times. Best wishes, Lee Customer Care Advisor][/i] It seems I'm not alone with my complaints judging by the Ticketmaster reviews. Also hidden away on the Robbie Williams Forum is a very long thread which can be found by going to Robbie Live then Ticketing Issues, Concerns, Questions - DISCUSSIONS (starts from Page 24) How long should I have to wait for Metropolis Music to get back to me. I have read that some people who booked concert/hotel packages have already commenced cashback on their credit cards. As I booked travel and hotel accommodation separately, am I being unreasonable in expecting to be reimbursed for this bearing in mind as I only booked these in order to go to the concert in the first place.
  5. A friend of mine paid over £300 for tickets to see the Stone Roses at Heaton Park on June 29 - and believes she may have fallen foul to a rogue seller. She booked the tickets through the website tickets2allevents.com, and paid for them through a bank transfer to a Barclays account last October. (The details of which she still has). However, a few weeks ago she received an email to say there were no tickets available and that she would be receiving a refund. This refund has yet to be paid. Over the past few weeks she has been in contact with the firm via their website and various London-based phone numbers, when staff promised the refund was on its way... Today, however, when she tried to log on to the website it had disappeared - and the phone numbers have stopped working as well. Is there any way she can get her money back. (I've Googled the firm, and its reviews are, well, 'not good.')
